As most of you already know I've put out a call for ops. I'm looking for a few dedicated minecrafters to help make the server a better place. This is so we can start moving the server to a more cohesive direction, both in game play and community. Server Goals:
Nobody likes to spend a lot of time and effort on something to have it busted up by others, thus protection on builds. Wild adventure/survival areas where builds are NOT protected and resources are seeded/more common gives an outlet to "bad behavior" and adds some challenge outside of normal mining. Some grants may still be considered for community builds or community buildings, but the game is a lot more fun and rewarding if you work for it. This also helps promote bartering and team work. Gives users a reason to head in to town and sell the things they don't need to buy things they do. Basis of economy is natural ore distribution. 1 Diamond = 2 Gold = 26 Iron. This also makes gold worth getting (aside from power rails) so will promote more journeys and builds in the nether to harvest from the pigmen. You also get money for killing mobs, and the more dangerous, the more $$ The map has a massive ocean up north that could be a cool place for some wild builds. I'd like to see some hubs/community areas spring up roughly each direction from spawn a ways out Op Responsibilities
That's for a start. Open to suggestions. |

Sounds awesome! Would love to be an Op as i mentioned before I do have some experience. I know how to use world edit and i'm going to look up worldguard and logblock right now. I also understand some good ways to stop people from getting on the server with griefing clients. I've been playing the game for about a year and a half now and am willing to dedicate a couple hours a week to keeping our server fun and safe and encouraging people to build up there world. |
