Server has a invalid key?

so after i updated minecraft, every time i try to join the server it says the server has a invalid key. any information on this would help

server is still 1.8.1, can't upgrade until bukkit updates.

you can grab a copy of 1.8.1 to connect until then, bukkit was here at minecon and said it would probably be a few days yet.
