I forgot how people survive in the cold
Dallas has been unusually cold this year. We’ve had three very solid freezes at least, two ice storms, and a handful of snows. One of the snows actually accumulated (see latest pictures for proof!)
Now we’re just outside of Washington DC and it’s much colder. The wind chill at the moment is 7 degrees Farenheit. I do not approve of single digit temperatures. Honestly anything below freezing presents difficulties to me, but I can put up with. This is just ridiculous!
Friday we hope to go into DC proper and sight see before catching our flight back. We may go Thursday evening for dinner in town and maybe a bit of driving around looking. Fat chance of us getting out of the car at night though. I plan on wearing multiple layers when we head out friday so that I can bear the cold long enough to snap some shots of the monuments and such. We’ll probably take one of the bus tours that lets you hop off and back on.
I’ve added a new plugin to word press that should help people reading the feed enjoy it a bit more. We’ll see how it works.
