Somehow designing the shutdown menu of windows vista took a year.

This is a pretty interesting read. I’ve experienced things along the same vein as this, but have trouble even imagining the scope described in this article. It’s a classic example of bureaucratic meltdown. It’s absolutely mind bending that the powers that be can’t see the huge problem this is, and fix it.

I really have nothing against Microsoft, just their output. This example goes a long way to explain why so many of their products are sub par at best. I’m glad I made the switch to Apple products when I did, it looks like MS is headed for an even bigger meltdown/collapse. Honestly? I hope they can re-organize and pull themselves out, be competitive again and make good products. I don’t see it happening, but a guy can hope!
