The route to dinner

Sometimes it’s nice to take a scenic route and eat somewhere for dinner that you haven’t before.  That’s what we did yesterday.  It was a bit out of the way, but quite pleasant despite all the travel.

8:30 A.M.  - Leave Krum
9:30 A.M.  - Breakfast at Denny’s
10:50 A.M. - Board Jet
11:30 A.M. - Depart DFW for San Jose

– Switch to PST time Zone –

1:30 P.M. - Arrive in San Jose, Meet with Steve
2:25 P.M. - Check in at hotel in Menlo Park
3:34 P.M. - Board CalTrain bound for Millbrae station
4:15 P.M. - Board Bart bound for Embarcadero station
5:15 P.M. - Board Trolley going the wrong way.
5:45 P.M. - Board Trolley going the right way.
6:20 P.M. - Arrive at Pier 39, San Francisco Bay
7:00 P.M. - Get food at Chic’s Seafood, looking out at Alcatraz and some Sea Lions.

Ok, so that wasn’t the only reason we came out here, but it’s a fun little story.  Wake up, go have dinner on San Francisco Bay.  Sometimes it feels like the states are a great big back yard.

We’re really here for some contract work Leah is doing.  I just came along for the ride, and to maybe get a few pictures.  We didn’t get to the Bay until it was dark already, so I was pretty limited, but I’ll take some shots around Menlo Park and Palo Alto the next few days.
