Football makes a liar out of me.
So we didn’t go to the State Fair. Why? Locusts. I mean sports fans. We drove out to Plano and hopped on the DART. In just a few stops we started to see a trend, a disturbing trend. Lots of people were wearing maroon. Lots of people were wearing orange. Lots of people were talking about sports, and sounding pretty stupid doing so.
There was a big game! Oh well we thought, last time we were on the Dart and that happened everyone got off at City Place, which is one stop before ours. They’d get off before us and we’d get back on before them on the trip back. Gauranteed seats! Whoo! Alas, it was not so. We passed City Place, and got to Pearl which was running shuttles to the fairgrounds. They all got off. We got off. We saw them all heading for the busses to the fairgrounds. We got back on the DART.
So we went to the Zoo instead! No locusts for us! The Dallas Zoo was fun, though one of the worst zoo’s I’ve ever been to. They did have animals. And the animals seemed healthy, and most of them seemed content at least. I’d give money to the zoo to help them out of their apparent straights, but I don’t really think it would get to the animals.
We’re going to the Fort Worth zoo in a couple of weeks. I hear that one is fantastic. Anyway, I’ve put up a gallery of photos from the Dallas zoo. Nothing stellar, but some good shots of snakes (Michelle, I’m talking to you.)

LOL, sounds like something I would have done
Rooting for OU here… but I’m not going to say they got robbed… they played like crap in the 2nd half.
