Operation midwest: successfull!
We made it in yesterday and I think I’m mostly recovered from all the travels. It was quite a trip with barely any time to catch a breath. The flights were pretty good. I must say I quite enjoyed the little rocket we rode from Ohare to Bloomington. It was a small jet that sat about 30-ish and boy was it overpowered for its size. It was quiet too. It was also the shortest flight I’ve ever had. 20 minutes in the air.
We had fun at the Schurter reunion, despite the fact I didn’t know anyone. I became the official photographer, which I expected and planned on (but no one else knew prior to my arrival.) I’ve sold several prints already, at cost. It’ll become a nice marketing boost so I can sell some of my artsyish prints now that about 50 people scattered across the US have a contact point and examples of my work.
The big surprise and excitement happened on the riverboat. Jeff, who is Kelli’s (Leah’s cousin) husband put $2 into a slot machine and came out with $3000.
