What we’ve been up to
5/22 - Wake up at 7, throw last bits in truck, drive, drive, drive. Finally got out of florida near 8:30 pm. As soon as we hit night in Alabama we thought it was raining there were so many bugs. Checked into our hotel around 10 and got some rest.
5/23 - Wake up at 7, drive, drive, drive. It was a much more interesting drive as we crossed Mississippi, and Louisiana. There’s some amazing bridges over the swamps around there, one is 18 miles long! Finally got into the Dallas area around 6, and were at Leah’s parent’s in time to catch the last half of American Idol.
5/24 - Wake up at 7, drive to Plano, sign life away, aquire house and free toolbox. Head back to Krum. Unloading took about 2 hours. Shopping time! Headed to Lowes bought some paint, ceiling fan, lighting fixture, misc tools and supplies.
5/25 - Painted office, went shopping. Bought a desk, microwave, file cabinet, misc stuff. Unpacked some.
5/26 - Built Desk. Bought a bedroom set. Bought a mattress and box springs. Bought some food. Unpacked some.
5/27 - Bought a couch, ottoman, and some end tables. Unpacked some.
5/28 - Went back to Lowes, bought some more paint (for the bedroom this time.) Bought sprinkler system. Bought some misc. tools and supplies. Unpacked some.
5/29 - Installed microwave above stove. Unpacked some.
5/30 - Painted bedroom, setup sprinkler system, unpacked some, fell into coma from overwork.
Today it’s back to the usual, getting back to work and catching up on what I’ve missed. The house is very liveable now but we’re still waiting on a couple furniture deliveries. I’ve put off uploading pictures and video until we have some good before and after to show.
