So “intelligent design” is back in court…

Didn’t we do this 80 years ago?

Is 4 generations enough to forget we’ve been through this? No wonder America’s so far from the founding ideals, no one remembers/pays attention.

I love this argument for ID

Intelligent design, a concept some scholars have advanced over the past 15 years, holds that Charles Darwin’s theory of natural selection cannot fully explain the origin of life or the emergence of highly complex life forms. It implies that life on Earth was the product of an unidentified intelligent force.

The argument here is because the theory of evolution does not completely explain all of life, it’s not valid and so we should also teach this. Mind you, this is also a theory, and adds nothing to the concept except “something else started it, maybe.”

Gotta love that the argument for having it included validates their ideas less strongly than what’s currently being taught. Would it not be enough to say “hey, here’s evolution, we don’t know for sure what got the ball rolling. Maybe lightning and luck, maybe a flying spaghetti monster.”

While we’re changing curriculums in schools, how about a mandatory US History course which involves Law instead of just the Revolutionary and Civil wars. Better yet, how about a class that teaches Logic and Reasoning, maybe even basic researching skills.
