I know a lot of stupid people.
Not my friends mind you, just acquaintances in either business or social circles. Some days I feel like I’m among the Golgafrinchans. Not enough money? Let’s make our currency leaves. Uh oh, huge inflation problem, better burn down the forests.
Sometimes Golgafrinchans seem smart and innocent compared to people I come across. Example:
There was just a honk-fiesta in the parking lot below my window. The cause? Well I’m not sure the original cause, but the situation was there were 4 cars. One trying to back out of a parking spot (already half out) another behind him honking at him, two more waiting to come in the entrance to the lot. Now this fellow comes upon a car backing out of a spot, so naturally he honks (???) He can’t go any further because he’s blocked, so instead of stopping/backing up, he gets right next to the car and continues to honk. The car has no where to go except back into the parking spot. Really asinine behavior on part of car #2. Car #1 finally gives up and pulls back in to park, letting car #2 go by, and #3 and #4 finally enter the lot.
This is where the colosal stupid comes in.
Car #2 loops around because he can’t find a parking spot up front and ends up parking back behind the building MUCH further than if he had backed up and taken the spot #1 was trying to vacate.
I see shit like this every day. It wears on my soul like badly tailored pants.
