Chupacabra Sighting?

Last night, around 10pm, we were driving home from Miami. Coming up 95 northbound I saw… something.

I don’t know what it was.

All I can say is it made me question everything I know about earth bound creatures.

It was a little bigger than a football, and roughly similar shape. Oval-esque. It stood on two legs. It seemed to be a dark grey colour. It was fast. IT RAN ACROSS THE INTERSTATE. It did this in such a manner as to defy reason. That is to say, it did this VERY FAST.

I caught it out of the corner of my eye, the left eye. At first it was just a flash of movement up in the distance. As my automobile traversed the road at approximately 70 mph towards the source of movement I noticed it was some sort of creature. It took a minute to register how insane this was. First, I’ve never seen a creature like that. Second, I’ve never seen a creature MOVE like that. It passed in front of us, not directly, there was a car between us, and then angled east south east to complete it’s journey across the pavement. The fact it did not get hit in moderate traffic, and that the entire episode lasted just a scant handful of seconds is boggling.

I was tempted to slam on the breaks, pull over and try to see what the heck it was but I realized if it could move as fast as it was, I would never find it.

ever.

Leah did not see it. This saddens me as it was really cool, and now everyone is sure to think I’ve lost it.

*edit: Now with more spelling!*

This is a true story, of course it’s not a Chupacabra, but that was a tongue in cheek method of saying I didn’t know what it was.

C’mon Billy Joel, loosen up. Your music is so fine, surely you can lighten up a little.
