Set an open course… for Dallas
We’re heading out to Dallas for the holidays. We’ll be away till the evening of the 2nd. Should be a fun trip. I’ll still be checking email and such while away but probably not nearly as frequently. Hopefully I forgot computers exist at least a couple times during the trip.
Otakucon came and went. Despite all the mix ups, screw ups, slip ups, goof ups, etc, I had a good time… even considering the amount of time I spent working. I’m a freak like that I guess. The last con I didn’t spend most of the time doing work at was JACON.. and ironically that was my least favourite florida convention this year. Otakucon had serious issues… and I spent the whole time either running events/checking badges/or at the OA table.. but I still enjoyed it? Why? Just seeing friends and acquaintances.
Who’s line is it anime was really entertaining. Yeah, it was BAD the first night, but … I don’t know, I think that was part of the charm. I heard a lot of people mention it saturday during the day. They’d say things like “oh man.. that was bad.. but so funny, hell yeah I’m going tonight.” So serious congratulations and thanks to Fuzzy, Pharrit, Zerohour, Desi, and all the others that participated.
I better go finish packing and get some rest. Lots of miles to fly tomorow.. lots of lines to stand in I’m sure. Happy whatever holidays to everyone.
