Owch!
Well, most of Jeanne has come and gone. Wasn’t even close to Frances as far as loudness/wind gusts here. I’ve been outside a bit, doesn’t look like there’s any damage except…
Yow. That sucks for them. Though… I’ve gotta say… when you have strong winds coming from the west, why would you park east of a tree? Especially a tree that has very little soil around it? This tree was in one of those little parking lot dividers, roots probably had less than 5 foot in diameter from the trunk to hold on to the ground. I mean, I was parked under a tree, but it has roots extending about 30 feet from it’s base and I was north of it.
I guess that just goes back to common sense being uncommon nowadays. Interesting that the way the tree was shaped the probe got the short end of the stick there. I didn’t see any damage at all on the toyota, it just needs to back up carefully.
