Music, and the lack there of…

I don’t know if it’s just one of those things that as you get older the new popular music gets more and more sucky, but I definitely find that happening. I can’t really turn on the FM band unless I’m listening to NPR. South florida may be partly to blame. The clear channel “new rock” station here plays about 10 songs a day, all of which suck more then the others. On that note, am I the only one that wants to strand the white stripes on an iceberg somewhere?

Following the breakup of my favourite band all I’ve had new that I’ve really liked is the subsequent new band’s demo cd.

Back to the point, I am dealing with a plentiful lack of new good music. has helped out lately by providing some anime sound tracks, thanks! I like some Jpop, and have been meaning to listen to some Jrock, but I need some suggestions. All I’ve gotten so far is gackt gackt gackt. While he may be decent, his name sounds like Merle with a hairball. I’m not against listening to him, I just need to find some mp3s and decide from that point.

I still have a lot of good music. Some of my all time favourites include NIN, Depeche Mode, Gravity Kills, U2, Linkin Park, Smashing Pumpkins, Apoptygma Berserk… I think probably has the closest match to my music tastes of anyone I know, but I’m up for ANY suggestions of ANY style. Don’t worry about making a bad suggestion, I won’t hate you, though I may make fun of you. Just kidding :)
